Scholarship Abroad

I’m going to talk about preparation for scholarship abroad. Especially, I explain about schedule, exam and essential things.

First, I explain about schedule. There are two types of departure in this college. Today, I explain the first period of departure. In April and May, we take some explanatory meeting. In June and July, the application starts, and candidate is selected and decided. In September and October, people who study abroad decide to the college in Australia, and people start the necessary steps for studying abroad in December. Finally, people depart for Australia in February.

Next, I explain about the exams. If you want to study abroad, you have to take the two special exams. Two exams are Writing and Interview. Writing exam is essay with typing, and you have to finish for 30 minutes. Interview exam takes about 10 minutes. There are two examiners and one student. Of course, not only these exam but also daily achievement is important. For example, speech contests and so on. As you know, we need TOEFL score. To go to the Tasmania University, we have to get more than 550 points.

Lastly, I explain about essential things. I think almost people know about this. We need to get the passport, visa and plane ticket. We have to get insurance, too. We have to do a lot of things by myself for studying abroad.

Traffic Signs

I’m going to talk about road signs. In Japan, there are two types of road sign. It is main sign and subsidiary sign, in Japanese, we say “Hojo Hyoushiki”. Main sign is separated by signpost, caution sign, regulation sign and instruction sign.


So, I explain these signs. First, Signpost shows place-name and leading to destination on junction. Next, caution sign shows that we have to watch for around. This sign is formed by diamond shape, and color is yellow and black edge. Next, regulation sign shows prohibition and limit on something like behavior. Most of these signs are round and the reverse triangle. Lastly, instruction sign shows something permission or order, and shows instruction on the road. This sign is square, and a white illustration on a blue field.


In foreign countries, most signs are similar to Japanese. However, there are a little different in color and design. In Japan, top speed sign is round. However, in America, this sign is square on a white field. It is very different.

I’m going to talk about the history of Halloween . There are two stories about Halloween history.

One story is Celtic people’s custom in Ireland is beginning of Halloween. Celtic people live in Ireland. October 31 is the end of a year for Celtic people. People believed the ghost will visit their house, and a witch appears on this night. Then people wore masks, and made a fire to defend themselves.

Other story is the word “Halloween” comes from “All Hallows Eve”. “All Hollows Day” or “All Saints Day” is Celtic festival on November 1. The festival originated from ancient England and Ireland to mark the beginning of the Celtic New Year.

In America, immigrants from Europe spread Halloween to America, but some immigrants brought in a variety of Halloween. So some cultures are integrated into now American Halloween style.

THE GREAT WALL

I’m going talk about History of the Great Wall. The Great Wall was built in about 1600 by 500,000 workers. People say that it was built by Shi Huang di, but majority of the existent Great Wall was built in MYOUDAI.

The Great Wall was built since the Warring State Period, in case of attacks from foreign enemy and immigrants of north. At this age’s wall was made up of soil, and it was not high because people was just thinking that it was only purpose to prevent from getting over by horses and people. And it was located on north from now location.

Now, Chinese government has some problems about this Wall. Because local people make up their house by the Great　wall, and sell some bricks for souvenir to visitors. So, destruction begins now. And this area is one of the poorest area in China.

Tokyo Disney sea

I’m going to talk about the show. There are two main shows in Tokyo Disney Sea, Bravi SEA Mo! And The Legend Of Mythica.
Both shows take place on the water.

At first, I explain Bravi SEA Mo!. This show started in 2004 July 17th. Bravi SEA Mo is named by "Bravissimo" in Italian and "SEA" of Tokyo Disney Sea. This show’s story is to meet a water fairy and a fire fairy. At the beginning of this show, Mickey Mouse appears on the ship. However Disney characters don’t appear most scene. Only water fairy and fair fairy. Fire from water is so fantastic. And this show take place in the night, so light to sky is very romantic.

Next, I explain The Legend Of Mythica. This show take place once in a day from 2:30pm. This show’s story is based on imaginary legend called Legend Of Mythica. Many Disney characters appear on the shape of a variety of ships. This story is a long time ago, legend creatures lived in Mythica with people, and they were dancing with rhythm. However people began to fight, and rhythm disappeared from the world. Disney characters dance and sing to get back rhythm and legend creature. We can enjoy dancing with this show. And dancer’s clothes are very colorful. May be you can enjoy!

Now, spring carnival take place. I think new show will start in the summer.

We talked about Tokyo Disney Sea. Attraction, food, hotel and parade. May be almost people have been to Tokyo Disney Sea. Tokyo Disney Sea is very exciting place. However perhaps there are many things which don’t know. I recommend you research more, before you go. So you can enjoy much more! Thank you for listening.

Recommendation：This is an old movie. I watched this movie first when I was second grade. When I was a child, this movie was a little scary for me because many villains appeared. But soon I overcame. Game's result become real. This point is very interesting.

Plot: Fictional romantic tale of a rich girl and poor boy who meet on the ill-fated voyage of the 'unsinkable' ship.

Runtime: 194 min

Recommendation: I was moved to tears this movie. I have watched this movie at least 4 times. My favorite scene is Rose lost Jack’s grip on the sea. This scene is most inspiration scene. I couldn’t believe this destiny love. However now I believe destiny love.

3. YES MAN

Genre: Comedy/Romance

Plot: A guy Challenges himself to say “yes” to everything for an entire year.

Writers: Nicholas Stoller , Jarrad Paul

Runtime: 104 min

Recommendation: This movie’s main character says “yes” everything for obligatory. So it happens to him excellent things. However later he notices that obligatory “yes” is not real yes. Also I think that life depend on myself. So I decided to think positive for everything. Maybe people who watch this movie reconsider own life again.
